Project Overview
A content sales platform where creators can offer both one-off content purchases and monthly plans. Built on Next.js App Router, combining custom session authentication, video delivery via Bunny, a Stripe payment adapter (built to support switching payment providers in the future), and asynchronous processing via a DB queue and worker.

Key Features
One-off sales and monthly plans together
Creators can offer content as a one-off purchase or as a perk of a monthly plan. Payments start in Stripe test mode, with an adapter pattern designed to support switching payment providers in the future.
Video delivery via Bunny
Delivers video content using Bunny.net streaming. Access to content is controlled based on purchase or subscription status.
Asynchronous processing via DB queue and worker
A worker process polls a jobs table using SKIP LOCKED to handle asynchronous processing. The app and worker run in separate Docker containers, keeping processing stable in production.

Technical Highlights
Solution
Building custom session authentication
Implementing sessions from scratch instead of using a general-purpose library like NextAuth made it easier to adapt to future authentication requirements and user model changes. Prisma-based DB management also allows schema changes to be applied safely.
