Project Overview
A service that receives call events from Zoom Phone in real time via webhook and automatically syncs call records into a business database through the FileMaker Data API. Implemented in Node.js and deployed on Render, it eliminates manual data entry between Zoom Phone and FileMaker.

Key Features
Real-time reception of Zoom Phone webhooks
Receives webhook events issued by Zoom Phone (call start, call end, voicemail, etc.) in real time and writes them into records in a specified layout via the FileMaker Data API.
Integration with the FileMaker Data API
Connection details for the target FileMaker server, database, and layout are configured via environment variables, and call data is structured and mapped into FileMaker fields for registration.
Deployment on Render
Deployed to Render.com to run continuously as the Zoom Phone webhook endpoint. The webhook secret token and connection details are managed via environment variables.

Solution
Validating requests via a webhook secret
Zoom Phone webhook requests require signature verification using a secret token; implemented server-side signature checking to reject fraudulent requests. FileMaker connection details are also kept separate in environment variables for secure management.
